Alexander Isak, the Swedish forward of Liverpool, is making significant strides in his recovery following ankle surgery. He was recently spotted training alone, generating hope among Reds fans ahead of the crucial Champions League clash against Galatasaray. This solitary training session comes at a time when the team is preparing to overturn a 1-0 result from the first leg and secure a place in the quarter-finals, where they could face giants like Chelsea or Paris Saint-Germain.

Isak, who was injured before Christmas, suffered a severe ankle injury during a match against Tottenham, where he opened the scoring before being forced off the pitch. The collision with Micky van de Ven resulted not only in a sprain but also in a fibula fracture, which required surgical intervention. Since then, the player has been sidelined, and his absence has been felt by the team.

Unfortunately, Isak will not be available for the challenge on Wednesday night against Galatasaray. However, his recent appearance in training is an encouraging sign that his recovery is progressing. During a training session on Tuesday, Isak participated in the final stages of his rehabilitation, although he has not yet joined the main group.

Arne Slot, the coach, provided a positive update on Isak’s condition ahead of the 1-1 draw against Tottenham. “He is still with the rehabilitation team and is not training with the group,” Slot revealed to reporters. “If you ask me now, I would say I do not expect him to play for the Swedish national team in March. We are still a week and a half away from that, and there is always cooperation between the club and the national team, but I do not expect him to play for us before then.”

Liverpool fans are eagerly awaiting Isak’s return, which could be crucial for the team’s aspirations in the Champions League. With each passing day, the hope of seeing him back in action grows, but caution is necessary in his recovery. Isak’s struggle to return to the pitch is a testament to his determination and resilience, qualities that have made him such a valued player in the Reds’ squad. As the team prepares for one of the most important matches of the season, Isak’s absence is a blow, but the promise of his return could be the light at the end of the tunnel for fans and the team itself.
