Arsenal is being encouraged to intervene in Liverpool's negotiations to sign Paris Saint-Germain's young talent, Bradley Barcola. The 23-year-old forward has become one of the main priorities for the Reds' new manager, Andoni Iraola, who is looking to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season.

The Anfield team has received positive indications about Barcola's interest in moving to Liverpool, although PSG's valuation, which exceeds £130 million, poses a significant challenge. With Arsenal also seeking reinforcements in attack, the possibility of a deal for Barcola is becoming increasingly real, especially considering that the Gunners are in advanced negotiations to sign midfielder Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle United for £80 million.

Emmanuel Frimpong, a former Arsenal player, expressed his opinion on the club's need to continue investing in quality players. “Mikel [Arteta] and the boys have finally managed to complete the transfer, which makes me very happy. But they shouldn't be satisfied with just one victory. They need to keep winning and dominating, just like Manchester United and Manchester City did in the past,” Frimpong stated.

He emphasized that the team has potential and a deep squad, but believes that more reinforcements are needed, especially in key positions. “I still think we need some wingers and a true number eight. For me, in terms of realistic signings, Bruno Guimarães is someone I would love to see at Arsenal. And also Bradley Barcola… I believe he would be very good for Arsenal. Barcola and Guimarães would make for a very positive transfer window for the club,” Frimpong added.

The pressure on Arsenal to make significant signings is increasing, especially with Liverpool competing for Barcola. The situation of both clubs highlights the growing rivalry and the urgency to strengthen their squads before the start of the new season. The final decision regarding Barcola could have repercussions not only for the player’s career but also for the aspirations of both clubs in domestic and international competitions.
