Bayern’s director admits wanting the departure of Palhinha and other players.

Max Eberl, sporting director of Bayern Munich, made it clear that the club would like João Palhinha, along with Sacha Boey and Bryan Zaragoza, to leave the team. These statements come in the context of Bayern's preparations in South Korea, where the situation of the surplus players was discussed in depth.

Eberl stated, “We would like these players to leave, especially because if they stay, it will be very difficult for them to get playing time.” While he admitted the club's intention to facilitate their departures, the executive also emphasized that the players have the right to train and showcase their value. This statement indicates that despite the club's preferences, the athletes still have room to demonstrate their abilities on the field.

The Bavarian director did not limit his comments to Palhinha but also mentioned Boey and Zaragoza, reiterating that Bayern has other ideas for the squad. Eberl revealed that there are “movements” within the club, although he did not specify what the possible destinations are for the three players. The situation becomes even more interesting as Boey and Palhinha are on Bayern's tour in South Korea and Hong Kong, but they do not seem to be part of coach Vincent Kompany's plans.

The August transfer window promises to bring news, as Eberl has indicated that clubs will begin evaluating their squads. “At some point during the month of August, clubs will assess their respective squads.
