After securing her place in the round of 16 at the WTA 1000 in Cincinnati in just 54 minutes, Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka shared details about her preparations for her wedding to Brazilian Georgios Frangulis. The world number one revealed that the plans are still in the early stages, but the excitement is evident.

“I'm just keeping ideas. I have a wedding folder on Instagram where I save inspirations that I like. That's how we are right now,” commented Sabalenka, revealing her creative process. The tennis player also praised her fiancé's approach, stating that he has been “very smart” in the planning: “He lets me decide what I want. There are some things where he says, ‘Okay, this has to be there,’ and I reply, ‘Yeah, okay, whatever.’”

In an interview with Tennis Channel, Sabalenka confirmed that the ceremony will take place in Greece, although the date has yet to be set. The athlete's focus for the big day is to ensure that everyone has fun: “I just want a really fun party so that everyone can enjoy themselves. That's it, and I really hope it will be like that.” With her usual sense of humor, the athlete joked about the possibility of live streaming the event, mentioning that “I don't know if doing a live broadcast from Greece would be such a bright idea because I think I'm going to drink, and there might be alcohol on the table.”

The tennis player also expressed satisfaction with her performance at the Cincinnati tournament, highlighting the impact of fun on her game. “I think when I'm really having fun, it doesn't matter if it's an exhausting match or a game that lasts less than an hour. As long as I'm enjoying myself, it gives me an extra energy,” she stated, staying focused to maintain her positive momentum.

Finally, Sabalenka spoke about her new orange equipment that she will use at the US Open, the final Grand Slam of the season. “I loved it. I literally look like a basketball hoop and a ball at the same time. It's something different, and I really liked it, to be honest,” she confessed, also revealing a curious skill in basketball: “I have to say, I'm really good at shooting, but my technique is awful. I'm good at three-point shots. What works, right?” The combination of solid sports performance and vibrant personal plans promises to keep Sabalenka in the spotlight, both on and off the court.
