Serhou Guirassy is set to continue at Borussia Dortmund, despite interest from several European clubs that could have signed him for €40 million. The 30-year-old forward has been one of the offensive references in the Bundesliga, scoring 60 goals in 96 matches since arriving at Dortmund from Stuttgart in July 2024.
For some time, there were reports of interest from giants like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal, all capable of triggering the €40 million release clause that allowed Guirassy's transfer. However, that clause has now expired, and Borussia Dortmund is becoming increasingly confident in retaining the player for the upcoming season.

In addition to the mentioned teams, Fenerbahce from Turkey also expressed interest, but the forward is said to have ruled out the possibility of moving to the Turkish league. Sky Sports journalist Patrick Berger revealed that “Serhou Guirassy actually rules it out for himself to move to Turkey now. At BVB, they have planned internally with Guirassy and without (Karim) Adeyemi; those were the two sale candidates. Therefore, I currently strongly assume that Guirassy will also play for BVB next season, unless something nevertheless happens.”
This confirmation of Guirassy's continued presence is crucial for Borussia Dortmund's plans, which sees the forward as a key element for the upcoming season, especially after the departure of Karim Adeyemi. His continuity ensures offensive stability and keeps one of the German club's main weapons intact.

With Guirassy's future secured at Dortmund, the club can focus on building a competitive team around the forward, who has already proven to be one of the most effective in the Bundesliga in recent seasons. His stay represents a clear signal of Dortmund's ambition to remain among the main players in European football.
