“Inter Milan closer to the title after Napoli’s draw.”

The supremacy of Napoli in Serie A is dramatically crumbling! Last Saturday, a goalless draw at the Stadio Sinigaglia against Como put Inter Milan one step away from the title, leaving the champions in free fall during one of the most painful seasons in their history. If Inter wins against Parma on Sunday at San Siro, they will secure their 21st Scudetto, with a nine-point lead and only four games left to play.

In the match between Como and Napoli, the dominance was clear, but efficiency was lacking on both sides. Matteo Politano hit the crossbar in the 84th minute, the biggest opportunity of the match, while goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic denied a certain goal to Martin Baturina shortly after the break. Anastasios Douvikas saw a goal disallowed due to a clearance off the line by Amir Rrahmani, and Assane Diao also failed to convert a clear chance before halftime. Como, who need three points to maintain their European aspirations, continues to struggle with nine draws this season, an excessive number for a team fighting for the top spots.

The battle for fourth place is tight: Como is in fifth, two points behind Juventus, and will have to rely on missteps from the Vecchia Signora and Roma to still dream of the Champions League. But the biggest problem remains: the inability to score decisive goals.

In the heart of the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich delivered a true spectacle of suspense by drawing 3-3 with Heidenheim in an electrifying match that was only decided at the last moment. Vincent Kompany, preparing for the decisive Champions League clash against PSG, opted for a massive rotation of the squad. The team at the bottom of the table did not forgive: Budu Zivzivadze and Eren Dinkci put Heidenheim ahead 2-0 before Leon Goretzka reduced the deficit with a brilliant free kick. With the introduction of reinforcements at halftime, Bayern turned it around to 2-2, but Zivzivadze surprised again in the 76th minute. When everything seemed lost, in stoppage time, a shot from Olise deflected off the post and went in, giving Bayern a crucial point.

Ligue 1 also experienced its share of excitement, with Paris Saint-Germain dropping points at home against Lorient in a 2-2 draw that threatens the Parisians’ leadership. Ibrahim Mbaye scored a fortunate goal for PSG in the sixth minute, but Pablo Pagis responded immediately for Lorient. Warren Zaire-Emery put PSG back in front, but Aiyegun Tosin equalized in the 78th minute with a cool finish. In the final moments, drama unfolded: Mayulu hit the crossbar, and a penalty initially awarded to PSG was overturned by VAR. Despite the draw, PSG remains at the top with a seven-point lead, but Lens could cut the gap to just four points in their match against Nice.

This weekend was a whirlwind across Europe: the Scudetto could be in Inter’s hands, Bayern survived a tough test, and PSG feels the pressure mounting. The race for the titles has never been so unpredictable and thrilling! Stay tuned, as the next round promises even more epic battles in European football.
